The $20 rack keeps prices down by cutting the only things that matter — the material, the lenses, the hinges. The luxury shelf charges you for the logo. We took the middle path seriously: materials that cost multiples of commodity plastic — plant-based bio-acetate, polarized UV400 lenses, riveted stainless hinges — without the luxury markup.

From a forest, not a refinery.
One question drove the whole project: could a frame look this clean and feel this good without coming from a barrel of oil? Round after round of sampling and rejecting later, we landed on bio-acetate — wood-pulp cellulose from FSC / PEFC / SFI-certified suppliers, polishing and wearing like premium acetate.
Then we did the part most brands skip: independent testing. And we'll be the first to tell you what the report does not say — these won't vanish in your backyard compost. We'd rather under-promise than green-wash.

Choice is cheap; conviction is expensive. One quietly classic round — The Grove. One quietly bold square — The Meadow. Same bio-acetate, same polarized UV400 lenses, same riveted hinges we repair free, for life.
